our history

HanTing Cuisine opened its doors some nine years ago, where Zheng is now

located. Chef Han Ji continues his culinary mission there, but turns a page.
We look back at the developments:

2009
HanTing Cuisine, the first French-Chinese fusion restaurant in the Netherlands, opened its doors in The Hague.


2010
Founding of HanTing Academy where, in collaboration with Chinese universities, research was conducted into the effects of eating on health.

2011
Launch of the Chinese Herbal Menu, based on Traditional Chinese Nutrition.


2012
HanTing Cuisine was the first Chinese-French fusion restaurant to receive a Michelin star.

2013
Introduction Qi Menu - a menu based on Chinese Nutrition, which revolved around the fifth balance on the plate.

2014
Introduction Tea Menu - HanTing was the first restaurant to introduce the pairing of herbal infusions that provided a better balance in the human body.

2016
Five Seasons Menu - HanTing Cuisine presented a menu in which colour and the five seasons played a leading role.

2017
Preparation new Zheng concept, and farewell to French Asian fusion restaurant HanTing Cuisine.


2018
The opening of Zheng, a new concept based on healthy food, culture, art and ancient ceremonies of the Chinese Empire.
